By accessing, browsing, submitting information to, or purchasing services through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you may not use the Site.

1. IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE – INDEPENDENT THIRD-PARTY AWARD SERVICE

Attorney A-List is an independent, privately operated recognition and listing platform.

Attorney A-List:

  • Is NOT a law firm
  • Does NOT provide legal advice
  • Is NOT a lawyer referral service
  • Is NOT affiliated with any state bar association
  • Is NOT affiliated with any federal or state government agency
  • Is NOT endorsed by any regulatory body
  • Is NOT a governmental certification authority

Attorney A-List is a third-party award and recognition service.

Inclusion in Attorney A-List does not constitute certification by any state bar, court, or governmental entity.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Attorney A-List provides:

  • Attorney recognition and award designations
  • Online attorney profile listings
  • Digital badges and seals for marketing use
  • Verification of certain submitted accolades
  • Promotional and digital recognition services

Attorney A-List does not guarantee any business results, client leads, search engine rankings, or professional outcomes.

3. NO LEGAL ADVICE / NO ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

The Site is for informational purposes only.

Use of the Site does not create:

  • An attorney-client relationship
  • A referral relationship
  • A fiduciary relationship

Attorney A-List does not review legal matters and is not responsible for the actions, conduct, or competence of any listed attorney.

Visitors are solely responsible for independently evaluating any attorney they choose to contact or hire.

4. ELIGIBILITY

By using the Site, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have the authority to enter into these Terms
  • All information you provide is accurate and truthful

Attorneys purchasing packages further represent that:

  • They are duly licensed and in good standing
  • They are compliant with all applicable bar advertising rules
  • Their submissions are accurate and not misleading

5. ATTORNEY REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES

Attorneys agree that:

  • All submitted accolades are legitimate
  • All bar status information is current and accurate
  • They will not misrepresent their selection
  • They will not imply government endorsement
  • They will comply with all ethical advertising rules

Attorney A-List reserves the right to verify licensure and public disciplinary status.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the Site, including:

  • The name "Attorney A-List"
  • All logos, seals, badges, and award marks
  • Site design, layout, and branding
  • Text, graphics, and materials

are the exclusive property of Attorney A-List and are protected by intellectual property laws.

7. LIMITED LICENSE FOR AWARDED ATTORNEYS

Purchase of an Attorney A-List package grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the specific award badge issued for the designated award year.

This license:

  • Is valid only while the attorney's listing remains active
  • Applies only to the awarded year
  • May be used on websites, social media, and marketing materials
  • May not be altered or modified
  • Must not imply government endorsement

The license automatically terminates upon:

  • Expiration of listing
  • Revocation by Attorney A-List
  • Misrepresentation
  • Failure to comply with these Terms

8. STRICT PROHIBITION ON UNAUTHORIZED USE

No person or entity may use:

  • The Attorney A-List name
  • Any logo, seal, badge, or mark
  • Any confusingly similar variation

without purchasing an authorized package and receiving written license rights.

Unauthorized use constitutes trademark infringement and may result in legal action.

Attorneys who falsely claim inclusion or misuse branding may be publicly removed and subject to enforcement proceedings.

9. PAYMENT TERMS

Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Attorney A-List:

  • Does not store credit card information
  • May receive confirmation of payment from Stripe

All fees are:

  • Non-refundable unless otherwise stated
  • Subject to change
  • Required for activation of listing

Failure to pay may result in suspension or removal.

10. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

Attorney A-List does not guarantee:

  • Client inquiries
  • Business growth
  • Revenue
  • Search engine ranking
  • Website traffic
  • Professional advancement

Recognition is not an endorsement of competence.

11. CONTENT LICENSE

Attorneys retain ownership of submitted content.

By submitting content, attorneys grant Attorney A-List a non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

  • Display
  • Reproduce
  • Modify for formatting
  • Promote the listing

Attorney A-List may remove content at its discretion.

12. PROHIBITED USES

Users may not:

  • Scrape or copy listings
  • Reverse engineer the Site
  • Impersonate others
  • Submit false information
  • Use the Site unlawfully
  • Misuse branding
  • Claim inclusion without authorization

13. TERMINATION

Attorney A-List may suspend or terminate access at any time for:

  • Misrepresentation
  • Bar discipline
  • Brand misuse
  • Violation of these Terms

Termination does not require refund unless required by law.

14. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available."

Attorney A-List makes no warranties regarding:

  • Accuracy
  • Reliability
  • Availability
  • Suitability for any purpose

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Attorney A-List shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages
  • Lost profits
  • Business interruption
  • Consequential damages

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the attorney in the 12 months preceding the claim.

16. INDEMNIFICATION

Attorneys agree to indemnify and hold harmless Attorney A-List from any claims arising from:

  • False submissions
  • Ethical violations
  • Misuse of branding
  • Client disputes
  • Advertising violations

17. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. Attorney A-List is not responsible for external content.

18. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California.

19. MODIFICATIONS

Attorney A-List may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
