Codie Lynn Burt is an attorney at Miller Johnson, where she serves as Counsel in the Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group. Based in the Kalamazoo office, she provides tailored legal services to businesses at every stage of growth, from initial entity formation to daily operations. Her practice focuses on commercial transactions, corporate governance, and compliance matters across diverse industries such as agriculture, technology, and healthcare. Prior to joining Miller Johnson, she gained valuable experience at the Herbert Machnik Law Firm and served as an in-house legal intern at Jackson National Life Insurance Company. Codie earned her Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law in 2021, where she also obtained a certificate as a Civil Facilitative Mediator. Beyond her legal practice, she is deeply committed to community service, having served as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Michigan since 2016.
