Matthew Dane Powell is a partner at Payne, Powell, Truitt & Chandler in Lubbock, Texas, with over 30 years of experience in criminal and civil litigation. A former Lubbock County Criminal District Attorney, he has handled over 300 jury trials, including approximately 60 murder cases, and now focuses on criminal defense, personal injury, and family law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law and is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
